About AAT

Albuquerque Athletics Track (AAT) was founded in 1998 and is a track & field and cross-country team for young athletes ages 5 to 18. AAT is a member of the USA Track & Field Association (USATF). In the spring and summer athletes compete in track & field meets and in the fall cross-country meets.

Athletes are taught the basic skills, techniques, and strategy to be proficient in track & field and cross-country. Athletes build confidence, learn self-discipline, and get into great physical condition. Athletes are taught good sportsmanship and to do their best and have fun! AAT's team philosophy and program is designed to put the athletes in a position to be successful in the local meets, the USATF-sponsored State, Regional and National Junior Olympic Championship Meets.

Since 1998 and under the AAT team philosophy AAT has had

A family environment is maintained and parents are encouraged to work out while their athlete's train.

Participating in track & field and cross-country is a lot of fun and an activity for the whole family. One of our goals is to make running a life style for your athlete and the whole family. When your athlete grows up to be your age we hope they will look back on their experiences with fond memories and will want their children to enjoy and have the same experiences and life style.
